Last week, The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers debuted a new single for his upcoming solo album, The Desired Effect, titled “Can’t Deny My Love.”
Flowers’ previous solo album, Flamingo, was released as a sort of side project while The Killers were on hiatus as a band. Flowers wanted to get this project out as a way to release all of his creative ideas before he comes up with even more with the band as a whole. This appears to be a recurring theme, as The Killers finished their previous album, Battleborn, as well as a best hits record.
With this new single, “Can’t Deny My Love” proves, once again, that Brandon Flowers is letting the creative juices flow once again.
On his website, Flowers posted a picture of a handwritten note announcing the new album, along with an official teaser video. Flowers says that, unlike his previous albums, The Desired Effect will be only partially inspired by his hometown of Las Vegas. And the new single, “Can’t Deny My Love” already seems to live up to that statement.
The Desired Effect will officially be released this upcoming May 18th, 2015.
