COMING SOON!

The end of the year is approaching very fast, many artists are releasing new music before 2014 is over and we all welcome a new year.

2015…

Can you believe the year is almost over!? Where did it go?

Let’s get down to business.

27 October 2014

Taylor Swift – 1989

Taylor Swift  is most known for her songs of love and heart break. She has spent most of 2014 on a full-fledged promo tour to insure that 1989 is a bigger hit than the unenthusiastic reception of 2012’s Red. Taylor seems to be moving in a different direction in her music. She no longer is the country-pop teen singing about boys. Although, she still sings catchy songs that get ton of radio play, Taylor is now a mega pop-star. “Shake It Off” is her first single off 1989 and I must say I’ve had it on repeat for weeks.

Lil Wayne – Tha Carter V

Lil Wayne’s musical influence cannot be denied. It’s been almost two years since his last, non-inspirational album, I Am Not a Human Being II. Lil Wayne, who helped launch the careers of Nicki Minaj and Drake, is ready for his comeback and so am I . Believe Me, Wayne’s first single was released in May and was a club hit throughout the summer. Lil Wayne is back.

Mykki Blanco – Gay Dog Food

Michael Quattlebaum Jr., better known by stage name Mykki Blanco, is going to change rap music. Mark my words. The only question being is anyone ready? Mykki Blanco began as a teenage girl character for Michael’s YouTube, but evolved into a musical and performance art piece. Blanco’s name is inspired by Lil Kim’s alter ego Kimmy Blanco. Mykki says, “”You can choose to call me a gay rapper, you can choose to not even call me a rapper if you want to, it doesn’t matter, I’m a punk, a creative punk and I’m going to continue to create and entertain without boundaries.” Watch Feeling Special and you will see why Mykki is extremely creative and innovative and why he is ready to break into mainstream music.

Rihanna, is rumored to have an album releasing in early November! Which I pray is true, because she hasn’t graced us with any new music in two years! She has has also gone M.I.A on participially every social media site! RIHANNA, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? (Cause I never see you out. Are you hiding from me?)

24 November 2014

Nicki Minaj – The Pinkprint

Nicki Minaj also has not released an album in two years, but the proclaimed “Queen of Rap” has not gone anywhere. Minaj has released two songs off The Pink Print, “Pills and Potions” and “Anaconda” showing off her extreme versatility and what to expect on her latest album. Minaj has been featured on a wide range on records these past two years. She’s worked with Usher, Beyoncé, August Alsina, Jessie J and Ariana Grance. What hasn’t Minaj done? We’ll have to wait till Novemeber 24th to see. Nicki is calling this her “best album yet” and by the looks of her record breaking Anaconda video, I’m sure The PinkPrint will be a “BIG, BIG, BIG”.

Eminem – Shady XV

I’ve never been a huge Eminem fan, but after seeing him and Rihanna this summer in Detroit on their “Monster Tour”, I am part of the ‘Stan”, which is what he refers to his fans as. Eminem has been making music for almost two decades and even if you aren’t a rap fan, you know an Eminem song. He has mastered making original rhymes and lyrics and pairing them with catchy choruses, he is a hit maker. “Guess who’s Back? Shadys Back!”

So much music coming very soon! It’s exciting.

Oh, I forgot to mention…
