Jhené Aiko – Comfort Inn Ending (Freestyle)

The last few months have, undoubtedly, been Jhené Aiko’s time to shine. With her debut EP, Sailing Souls, still sitting comfortably in the top 10 on the iTunes Hip-Hop/R&B chart months after its initial release, it is clear that her notoriety and fan base are steadily growing. So, it comes as no surprise that the beautiful songstress released a video for one of the most personal songs on Sailing Souls. “Comfort Inn Ending (Freestyle)” is an intimate tale of the untimely demise of a budding romance that was filled with unexpected twist and turns. The song is a five minute narrative account that relives the events of a relationship that was built on unfortunate circumstances and deep rooted emotions. With both the song and video, Aiko showcases an amount of vulnerability that very few artists share in today’s music.
