Mick Jenkins is a name not too many people are familiar with. Mick Jenkins is a hip hop artist from Chicago. In my honest opinion I believe he’s one of the best young artists coming out of this great city. He recently released a music video for his track titled “The Roots” and it is off his Trees and Truths project. Click on the name for a download link for that project if you are interested in more of his music. This track in particular is very laid back and the beat in my opinion allows Mick Jenkins to let his lyricism shine. The video was directed by Chicago’s collective 119 Productions.
