Rising Star: FKA Twigs

Ladies and gentleman! Let me formally introduce you to a new artist by the name of FKA Twigs. This English, singer- songwriter and producer has been gaining momentum as she continues to release some of the most creative and thought-provoking bodies of work. The songstress recently released her debut EP, LP1, in July of 2014 with music and visuals that are an amazing display of brilliant artistry.

Reminiscent of Sade and Jessie Ware, Twigs infuses her melodic tone and electronic beats to create some of the most unique sounds of today’s music. In an era where majority of the music released is nothing but a remix of lasts years, Twigs finds a way to stand out amongst the crowd. Although multiple news outlets have been focusing on the backlash she received when she revealed that she is currently dating Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, this story is no comparison to the stories and imagery that Twigs tells in her music. Twigs is, undoubtedly, a talent to be watched. With work as innovative as hers, she is bound to make a positive and lasting impact on the music industry.
