The Lady and the Tramps
An Open Letter
Dear Lady, and fellow Tramps,
Wow.
That. Was. Fantastic.
I couldn’t have asked for anything better for our last improv show together.
Yes, it has been about a month since we had our show. But hey, don’t question my timeliness.
In all seriousness though, I really couldn’t have asked for anything better for our final performance. A sold-out room filled with our family and friends. Check. And booming laughter resonating throughout Donny’s Sky-box. Check.
We were bold, and it showed. The show not only reflected the support we each had for each other, but also the genuine enjoyment we held while performing.
When I moved to Chicago last year, I didn’t expect to be performing improv. I thought I would just go to school, and bool around in the city. I’m very glad I took that anxious step into the Second City Training Center last winter to try something new.
This year has been especially wonderful. Certainly, performing improv with you all for the last forty something weeks has contributed to it. Granted my Friday nights were virtually gone for those weeks, but seeing all your lovely faces each of those nights was worth it. My only regret is that I was never an audience member in our shows to personally see y’all perform. To have seen the personal growth in each of you on stage would have been a wonderful sight.
All I have left to say is thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for all the laughs, the beautiful memories, and for just being your wonderful, goofy selves.
Keep on yes-anding the world.
With love,
Michael
P.S. A HUGE shout out to Steven’s entourage for coming to all our shows.
