I have made it pretty clear in many of my blogs that I am a big lyric listener. I love listening to song lyrics because I can easily interpret them in ways that are meaningful to me and then insert myself into them. I feel like I cracked the puzzle when I realized why simple, short lyrics sometimes hit harder than poetic, cryptic lyrics. I believe it’s because simple, emotional lyrics leave space for you to insert yourself into them, and in turn, it’s super easy to feel like they’re relatable.
