Cody (Rhodes) and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) sold out 10,000 seats for their Indy show “All In” with many independent wrestling names appearing; such as Kenny Omega, Pentagon Jr., Fénix, Deonna Purrazzo, Brandi Rhodes, Kazuchika Okada, Nick Aldis (if he retains his NWA World Heavyweight Championship), Tessa Blanchard, Britt Baker, Jay Lethal, Rey Mysterio, and many more. This event is taking place at the Sears Centre in in Hoffman Estates near Chicago on September 1st. That week there will also be a Starrcast convention with a various wrestlers from the independent scene and retired wrestlers holding meet and greets, one is CM Punk.
All In is the biggest non-WWE show, since WCW closed its doors, as it’s the first Independent show to sell 10,000 seats. All In could be the stepping stone for promotions like Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Progress, RevPro, Impact, Lucha Underground, Pro Wrestling Noah, CMLL, AAA, PWG, and various other small promotions to gain more viewers and fill bigger arenas.
All In can be a sign that wrestlers don’t need WWE to be successful, as Cody & the Young Bucks are self-financing this event. Cody is a former WWE superstar who went to Ring of Honor and NJPW and joined Bullet Club and became one of the biggest heels and became very popular, despite his character “The American Nightmare”, an homage to his father “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, being hated. Cody has been very successful along with the Young Bucks, and with this event he’s sending a message to current and former WWE superstars and current independent wrestlers that they don’t need WWE to be successful. It can also give more competition to WWE to step up their product.
All In can also make CM Punk return to wrestling as he left back in 2014, because of WWE’s doctor, and the owners who never gave him his Wrestlemania main event. But if he returns at All In he will still be welcome, and can have dream matches with the likes of Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada, Pentagon Jr., Kota Ibushi, and many more. Additionally, Daniel Bryan can also appear once his contract is up with the WWE if he does not resign with WWE.
All In can also may mean the expansion of the Bullet Club into other promotions as the goal is to rule the wrestling world, so maybe they’ll start at All In with Pentagon Jr. and Fénix, Deonna Purrazzo, Britt Baker, and many more.
