And the Winner is…

Hey there guys! So how many of you guys caught the CMA’s last night? Oh my goodness!!!! I loved this year’s show and all of the artists that performed of course. But I think that the highlight for me was when Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton winning their fifth consecutive vocalist of the year awards and Luke Bryan finally winning Entertainer of the year.

Miranda makes history for women in the County Music Awards by winning Female Vocalist of the year for five years straight. She also took home a few more awards for Best Album of the Year as well as Single of the Year for her song “Automatic”. Miranda is one the most prominent women in the country scene and she’s made it very clear that she isn’t planning to go anywhere anytime soon. Her husband Blake Shelton also nabbed his fifth Male Vocalist of the year for his.This country power duo have racked up a total of five awards for the evening. Pretty impressive there guys.

Luke Bryan on the other gave a heartfelt speech for his very first CMA award. The Entertainer of the year is the highlight of the entire evening, seeing as such great artists were nominated for it. Luke beat out Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, and George Strait. The pure emotion that Luke had on his face the moment Garth Brooks read his name aloud showed the genuine shock and humility that would follow in his speech. It’s not hard to see why Luke won, his album “Crash My Party” sold over 2,000,000 in the United States making it a double platinum country album. Not only is Luke Bryan on heck of a musician, he is also one heck of a shaker! I was lucky enough to see his show here at Soldier Field back in August. It was worth every single penny I spent! From the moment he stepped on stage there was not a single person who was sitting in their seat. Oh the sweet nostalgia.
