Lil Jon and DJ Snake’s music video for “Turn Down for What” is a disgrace to humans. The dancers in the video use moves that rip off from Major Lazer’s “Pon De Floor” video, but in such a tasteless way. The plot of this video starts with a guy standing on the roof of an apartment complex. He can’t stop humping everything in sight and this causes him and the tenants he encounters to fall through each level of the building, gathering more beastly dancers each time. If aliens came across this video, they would either destroy earth or conclude that no intelligent life can be found here. I would have appreciated the diversity of characters in this video if it didn’t seem like it was dehumanizing minorities.
