Last weekend, my friends and I went down a Bollywood rabbit hole, watching old and new music videos, and all I could think was, “That outfit is so iconic!”  Seriously, some of these looks are perfect Halloween costume inspiration.

In this post, I’m rounding up some of the most unforgettable and chic outfits from Bollywood, the ones that instantly scream “main character” and would make for truly unique Halloween costumes.

My favorite would have to be Naina from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani maybe because my cousin lent me her saree, but I still have not done the outfit yet and hopefully soon because Chicago has a lot of Bollywood Halloween themed parties, so maybe one year, I would definitely go. A semi scary character would be Maunjulika in Bhool Bhulaiyaa is shown as the spirit of a dancer who died with deep anger and heartbreak, and her presence becomes a haunting force in the palace. All these costumes show how iconic Bollywood characters can be from soft and romantic to bold and unforgettable.
