Hello y’all! Today I’m going to get real country and talk about Carrie Underwood (I have the biggest girl crush on her, it’s ridiculous!). But as always don’t forget to check out Humans of UIC on Facebook!
So to start, let’s talk about her rise to fame. Like many others in the music industry, Carrie Underwood got attention through American Idol. At the age of 21, she won the fourth season of American Idol where she went from being a small town girl to a famous celebrity within a matter of minutes. After that, she took over America and released her debut album Some Hearts in 2005.
Yup, she won a few Grammies along the way!
Since then, it has been 10 years that she’s been giving us her amazing music and let me just tell you, her stuff is amazing! If you don’t know where to start, here’s her top ten by the Taste of Country. Along the way, she met an Ottawa Senator’s player Mike Fisher, who now plays for the Nashville Predators (how convenient for Carrie!). They went public in 2010 and got married shortly after. And now, she’s going to have a baby boy with her husband and we couldn’t be happier for them! Although, her hunk of a hubby has been coming up with some funky names for the baby boy such as…Fly…
