Cats Ear Infection Adventures

I got my cat Lilith about a month and a half ago. She's the cutest little kitty to ever grace this green earth. I was at the animal shelter a week before I got her, looking at kitties with my cousin, and I found the cutest black kitten. She was super friendly and very playful. Unfortunately, my two roommates are both allergic to cats, so I couldn't get her even though I pleaded and begged. My mom later told me I was being evil, pushing them when it was literally a health concern. I see the error of my ways. Anyways, I then hopped on Craigslist and went searching for a Sphynx kitty. I was in luck and found one Sphynx cat close to Chicago. I hopped on it and got her for only $250!

I took her to the vet about three days after I got her, and she was diagnosed with an ear infection in both ears. This vet visit was $250 for a rabies shot, diagnosis, and medicine. I did the medicine as prescribed, and her infection only got worse! I had to take her to the emergency vet, and this was another $900. I still need to bring her to the vet again for more medicine, which will probably run up another $300-$500. My point is that medical expenses for animals are so outrageous, and animals should have the right to free health care. I think I'm ready for a dog. - Bad Dogs in the House
