I woke up this morning, looked at my phone, and the temperature on my phone said -10. What?! -10? At first I thought I read it wrong because I just woke up, but temperatures were actually pretty low these past two days. Chiberia hit us again. Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean we have to sit inside our dorms bored! What have you been doing while waiting for this deep freeze to end?
Due to this weather, a majority of us got emails from our professors that decided to cancel classes. That’s a good thing, right? We all needed a break after the crazy first two weeks of school. So invite your friends over and catch up on things you guys have missed out on ever since school started.
Bring back some childhood memories and play games together you used to play as a kid. Remember Go-Fish, Taboo, Monopoly, or even Spoons? Playing them again with a group of friends will definitely bring back memories.
Have dance parties. Get together with a bunch of friends and dance to your favorite music. With it being cold outside it will definitely warm you guys up and not to mention, it’s a great workout ;).
Even though most of us got these two days off, some professors most likely sent you make-up work to do. Don’t fall behind on it! Remember, the semester just started, so by not getting credit for assignments can definitely hurt your grade. Start the year off right!
Also, last but not least, stay warm! With freezing temperatures, frostbite can happen within a matter of minutes. If you absolutely HAVE to go out, be sure to dress in lots of layers and try to stay indoors as often as possible.
Good luck! And have fun 🙂
