Hidden Treasures of Rock ‘N Roll

This week’s show features the music of three artistst born during January, a classic album released 45 years ago this week, and an interview and acoustic session with an exciting Chicago singer/songwriter.  The three featured artists are JANIS JOPLIN(born 70 years ago this week on Jan. 19, 1943), ROBIN ZANDER of CHEAP TRICK(60 on Jan. 23) and ANDY PRATT(66 on Jan. 25).  The featured album is THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE’s “Axis: Bold As Love”, released 45 years ago on Jan. 15, 1968.  At 3PM, singer/songwriter TODD KESSLER joins me for an interview and acoustic session.  Todd was a recent contestant on NBC’s “The Voice”.  More info on Todd at http://toddkesslermusic.com/ .  For requests, you can reply to this message or email me at rose60612@yahoo.com  .   HIDDEN TREASURES OF ROCK’N’ROLL is broadcast every Monday from 12-4PM CST at http://uicradio.org/ .  Thanks for listening!
