how is NO ONE talking about this album?!?!?

I recently rediscovered an album that came out earlier this year, and I've been constantly looping at again, so much so that I NEED to talk about this album, because no one else is. This Won't Be The Last Time by acloudyskye is such an incredible, noisy, punchy, melodic noise pop / indietronica record that honestly does not get enough credit, it's THAT good.

The album starts off with "Shoots," and immediately jumps into punchy guitar sounds, almost shoegaze-like, combined with synths that give the song the overall indietronica vibe, creating such an upbeat and fun-sounding atmosphere, it honestly almost sounds like an anime opening. Each song afterwards share the same structure, with there being a long-ish buildup, keeping you on your toes with the beautiful melodies in the buildups before leading to a loud, ethereal-sounding drop/chorus section, almost following the pacing of an EDM track, just with loud guitar chords, but not loud harsh, loud as in it creates a noisy but melodic and beautiful atmosphere, combined with the synths and percussion. I especially like the track "Spill" off of this album, the buildup combined with the lengthy, noisy drop backed by skye's incredible vocals (I forgot to mention his vocals-- they're incredible!) creates a song that I would consider a 10 -- it's perfect in every aspect. I would totally recommend this album to anyone that enjoys noise pop, indietronica, or even EDM or shoegaze -- as skye blends elements of all of these genres together, and the songs are so well crafted that I believe anyone can get behind it. Also, the art direction on this album is neat too, with the different characters on the cover and video snippets shown in some of their past albums too. Skye also just finished up a tour in China, apparently their songs are very popular over there, and I hope they tour in North America soon, as I think hearing these songs live would be an incredible experience. Totally check this album out if you haven't, it's an incredible listen!
