I Ain’t Afraid Of No Ghost!

Happy Halloween y’all! This week, i’m going to do something a bit different. Since my blog comes out on Wednesdays, and this Wednesday happens to be Halloween, I thought I’d recommend some not scary Halloween things to watch or listen to on Halloween! If you’re a scaredy cat like me, hopefully you’ll enjoy this list! Even if you do like scary things, check it out any way!

Halloween recommendations for scaredy cats:

Movies: Alien and Aliens– the first two movies in the Alien series. Signourney Weaver is amazing in these movies! They’re more sci-fi thrillers than horror, but if you’ve never seen them, you’ll probably be scared! Don’t watch 3 and 4 in the series, because they’re lame, and barely any aliens in them!

Ghostbusters– a classic! Who doesn’t like Bill Murray and Dan Akryod hunting ghosts! This one also has Sigourney Weaver as well! This is a must watch classic!

Halloweentown-This is a Disney Channel original from when I was a kid, and it’s a classic. Halloweentown 2 is personally better, but they’re both fun movies. Who wouldn’t watch Debbie Reynolds as a witch grandma?

Shaun of the Dead-This is comedy horror, and the first movie in Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s Cornetto Trilogy. It’s about a zombie outbreak in London, where some friends try to hunker down in their favorite pub, until it all blows over!

Any Halloween episode of Bobs Burgers

Any Halloween episode of Brooklyn 99

The Halloween episode in season 4, episode 7 of Supernatural-definitely the most gruesome on this list, but also one of the most enjoyable! This is a throwback to when Supernatural was scary!

Any Halloween episode of The Office

Podcasts:

And Thats Why We Drink– A paranormal and true crime podcast. Em and Christine are great hosts, who make serious stories fun, and not super scary. They talk about ghosts, aliens, missing people, serial killers, etc. It can get pretty dark and gruesome sometimes, but is a great podcast for those who don’t want to be too scared!

This Is Halloween-a classic from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Games:

I personally don’t play scary games, because I find them scarier than scary movies. If you don’t want to play them either, I am also going to put in great channels where you have be second hand scared, and watch someone else play those games. The playthroughs I am recommending are ones I have watched and enjoyed. The games are also games I have enjoyed by either watching or playing.

Outlast-this game takes place in an abandoned insane asylum, and you have no way to fight. Good channels to watch play this game: Achievement Hunter, Multiplier, BrownMan

Until Dawn-a PS4 exclusive. This game plays on the actions you choose, and can affect the outcome of the whole game. Good channels to watch play this game: Markiplier

The Evil Within– this is less scary, as you do have ways to defend yourself, but sometimes the creatures can be a bit spooky Good channels to watch play this game: Markiplier

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories-definitely not the game you think of when you think of Silent Hill. This is similar to Silent Hill, but you go around taking pics of whats happening, and running away from creepy monsters. Good channels to watch play this game: Game Grumps

Fatal Frame II-a game where you play and take pictures, trying to find out what happened to your sibling Good channels to watch play this game: Markiplier

Silent Hill PT– the prototype that was going to be the new Silent Hill… Good channels to watch play this game: Game Grumps, Achievement Hunter, Markiplier

Anything scary the Achievement Hunter guys make Geoff play. There’s a bunch of scary games on their channel, they make a member of their group play. They’re all enjoyable, and equally spooky!
