Exciting new for Lykke Li fans long since awaiting new music!
Recently, Swedish singer-songwriter (and recently, actress) Lykke Li released a teaser video for her third upcoming album, titled I Never Learn. This album is described by the artist as containing “power ballads for the broken.”
This album will be the last album featured in a trilogy, the first being Youth Novels, featuring popular songs ‘I’m Good I’m Gone‘ and ‘Little Bit.’
Her previous album, Wounded Rhymes, with singles ‘I Follow Rivers’ and ‘Get Some,’ had received countless reviews, including receiving 4 out of 5 stars by Rolling Stone.
Now, Lykke Li has also released a music video for a single called ‘Love Me Like I’m Not Made of Stone,’ off her new album.
This music video really shows Lykke Li’s unique, artistic style, and emphasizes her described theme of heartbrokenness. She appears a traumatized work of art, rotating slowly and barely moving, as if she’s made of stone, relating back to the song’s title.
Nonetheless, this song gives avid Lykke Li fans – like myself – a great look of what is to come upon the release of her new album, on May 5th, 2014 worldwide. Needless to say, I can’t wait.
