Blog! Blog! Blog!

it's cool to care

There are not a lot of things in this world that I can say I truly hate, but nonchalant culture definitely makes the list. Since when did it become popular and cool to act like you’re not passionate about anything? Humans are messy, life is hard, and it's dumb to act like you’re above all of it. Pretending to not care about what other people think about you is the highest form of insecurity, and nonchalant culture proves it. It is innately contradictory to adopt the mentality of carelessness solely because it is what you think will make others respect you.

Not only is it illogical to adopt a nonchalant mindset, but it is also a waste of time and frankly a waste of life. We have been developed over millions of years to be able to appreciate nature, art, music, science, logic, love, and everything else life has to offer. Why would you choose to ignore it all? I guarantee you that no one has ever been on their death bed and thought to themselves “I regret caring deeply about the people I love and being passionate about the simplicities of life.” I’d bet more people would think “I wish I hadn’t cared so much about what other people thought.”

This whole blog might just come off as bitter and pretentious, but honestly, I DON'T CARE!!!!! I am the biggest advocate for living your life to the fullest regardless of outside opinions. If you aren’t living for yourself, what are you even living for? It’s okay to be selfish when it comes to your overall happiness and quality of life. I think this blog was mostly a public journal entry. It’s midnight and I didn’t proofread this. Live for yourself, it's cool to care.

Peace and Love,

Chiara
