A new challenger has approached!

Howdy, everyone! Now I know…you’re probably wondering, “Who the heck is he and what is he doing here?” Well…my name is Zach Florek and I am a brand spanking new DJ here at UIC Radio! I’ll be hosting a brand new radio show on here called An Alternative Perspective which will be airing….soon (time and date are TBD for now). The show is gonna feature a whole lot of alternative, indie and rock jams mainly from today and the 2000s! I’m really excited to show everyone my collection of tracks I jam to as well as my brand of….humor..? Yeah, we can call it that I suppose. Now, before I get a little ahead of myself, why don’t I give a small (well…its a 40 hour playlist so I’m not sure if you can actually call it…small) sampling of what’s to come on the show and perhaps it’ll help visualize the mind of the Banana Man (how did I get that nickname? Well, that’s a story for another time).

So, without further ado…

The little tidbit I have for Y’all is actually the playlist I listen to almost all the time on my way to classes here or when I’m studying. I even play it while at work as more of an ambient noise! The playlist is curated by me and it is basically a conglomeration of my music tastes from the last four years. It’s got about 43 hours (yes, you read that right) of content and it contains everything from classic rock jams by bands like Kansas and Styx, to EDM and chill jams by artists like Avicii and Bauuer, to pop hits by the best like Ariana Grande and Ellie Goulding, to alternative and indie jams by bands like Twenty One Pilots and Alt J, to straight rock jams by rock legends like Five Finger Death Punch and up and comers like Badflower. it is basically a super-playlist of literally everything except country mainly. I update it usually every week or so with new jams I find, so go ahead and give it a listen! I’m sure you’ll find something worth listening to in there!
