Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas is a more recent discovery of mine. This band is based in Detroit and I wouldn’t even know how to describe their style of music to you. If I had to put a label on it I would say it’s punk/funk/gothic pop. That might not even describe it very well but their sound is actually really cool.
I was able to catch part of their set at Riot Fest in Chicago this past September and I was very impressed. The lead singer, Jessica Hernandez, has an amazing voice. They will also be performing at The Metro in Chicago Thursday October 30th. Unfortunately the show is sold out and it has been sold out for some time now.
If you are interested in checking out their music, which I do recommend doing so, they have an EP out titled, Demons, and an album titled, Secret Evil.
