“Joel, the Lump of Coal” by The Killers and Jimmy Kimmel

What do Jimmy Kimmel and The Killers have in common?

Well, besides both being from Las Vegas, as Kimmel so kindly points out, they now have a holiday hit together.

Every year, since 2006, The Killers have collaborated with other artists, such as Elton John and Neil Tennant, to make a Christmas song. The song is then available on iTunes, and all proceeds go to the RED campaign. This year, the band teamed up with Jimmy Kimmel to make this awesome music video.

The song, titled “Joel, the Lump of Coal,” is based on just that: a lump of coal, named Joel. Santa chooses Joel to come along on Christmas Eve, and Joel has to discover his true self in order to make the receiver of him as happy as he can.

Not to mention, the band members are all adorned in hilariously adorable Christmas sweaters while they perform in the North Pole.

Overall, it’s a great music video with a cute story, and all proceeds go to a good cause.
