Mj's Time at Kaytranda

MJ here! First off, I want to say that I love Kaytranda! I’ve been listening to him for the last 5 years, but I just got really back into him when he and Amine released their album K&A. To me, it’s one of the best albums. Maybe even top 50. Anyway, back to it. I love Kaytranda, so when I heard that I could get the chance to do press by in radio, I said, “You know what, heck yeah!” I was so excited the day before the concert because that’s when I found out I could go! The wait to get in there was kind of stupid. The ticket line was weird but that’s not too important. When I got in there, it was the end of Sam Gellatiry’s set and he played his most popular song. It’s that song that plays in the background of that meme of the bald dude who looks like Andrew Tate doing the salsa. It’s a pretty good song not going to front.  But then there was like a 20-minute wait for Kaytranda to come on, but when he did, my lord. He came on with this beautiful beat and yelled “And you say Chi City?!” Beautiful. I have no words. The next song he played was Snap My Finger by him and Pink Pantheress. He only had the vocals playing at first, he played them longer than expected but when it dropped, mwah. Then he started remixing Sam Gellarity’s song Assumptions (the song I mentioned he played). Also I should probably mention that I’m not going to talk about the whole show just my favorite parts. About mid show he said the best three words ever. Kaytranda. Classic. Timeless. Immediately I knew, I had to die. While his song Pressure played he said “Give me a minute y’all I’ve got to stretch." Then he pulled out his bottle of wine and glass and started to drink. He played Video by him and Ravyne. I love that song. I’m everywhere, I’m a URL. Mwah. He also play 2 K&A songs. I recorded Sossuap and 4EVA. I love K&A so much man. Y’all don’t understand. Then he played Do 2 Me by him and Anderson Paak. When I heard it I screamed. He periodically kept pouring more into his glass throughout the rest of the show. Also at this show I found out that he produced Alright by Victoria Monet. Who would have thunk? He also flashed us his man boobs. He played Witchy by him and Childish Gambino. He did the Donald Glover one to hit move. I hopefully will have photos below. I am so grateful that in my lifetime I was able to be in the same room as Kaytranda as he DJ’ed Dance Dance Dance and did his stupid little poses. I have fulfilled my adulthood just by doing that. I posed and everything too. It is legitimately one of my favorite songs EVER. After Dance Dance Dance, he played his most iconic song, Just wanna be your girl, while smoking a fat blunt and blowing the smoke into the camera as he ended the concert. Unfortunately, that is the last of my memory from that beautiful experience that I got to experience.
