My Album Variants

Maybe my feed is a little too niche and chronically online, but I've been seeing this trend on Twitter where people are posting different "variants" for their favorite character. Basically finding characters from other universes that emulate the same energy and personality. I wanted to do the same thing for my favorite albums and over-explain the ones I really relate to and love!

OK COMPUTER by Radiohead

I think I've mentioned this album a billion times on my blog and I'm ready to talk about it a billion times more. It's genuinely such a timeless work of art that I don't doubt my future kids will be sick of me playing it someday. Each track encapsulates such an essential part of the human existence, from the fear of technology corrupting our humanity to feeling alienated within yourself. I really relate to this album in so many ways and feel like it's such an essential part of who I am.

PRESSURE by Julia Wolf

A recent favorite of mine! I love Julia Wolf's music so much, and this 2025 release has been on repeat for the last few months. The sound and style of music suit my personality and aesthetic really well, which is why I had to include it! My favorite tracks are Last Summer and Loser.

No Labels by Yeonjun

Another album I can't get enough of. I reviewed it on my blog when it was released and it'll definitely be topping my Spotify Wrapped this year. This album dives into the complex journey of self expression and confidence through music and trying new things. The music video is also super amazing too, I highly recommend it!

Fallen by Evanescence

She has been with me through thick and thin. From the first time I heard it in the sixth grade to now, as a junior in college, it's one of my most favorite albums. There's something so iconic and timeless about the sound, and each song is absolutely amazing. It's also so nostalgic for me, and definitely an essential in any of my metal/rock playlists.

Phases by Chase Atlantic

Chase Atlantic's sound is so unique and addicting, and this album has been a favorite of ine for a while. I really think that Phases is their best work. It has so many of their best songs, like HER and STUCKINMYBRAIN. I always listen to this on long car rides and find it super nostalgic.

Attaca by Seventeen

My sister insisted that I include this on here. I think this album, especially Rock with You and To you capture my taste in music so well. It really pulls you in and has so much variety without straying from the overall theme. I really love the aesthetic of this album and revisit it all the time!

flaws and all by wave to earth

This album is perfect for springtime. I've totally overplayed it, but it has such a great vibe and so much love put into it. It's also the perfect soundtrack to study to, and I love how each song compliments each other without sounding the same.

The Crucible of Life by the Home Team

This album is such a fun blend of different sounds, and every song is so unique and amazing. This release really got me into the Home Team, and I listen to their music all the time now. I think this album really represents my whimsy and joyful side, and I can't wait to play it with the windows down this summer.
