My Favorite Christmas Songs & Movies !!

Happy December and Happy Holidays!! I am writing this blog on December 1st, which means that it is OFFICIALLY Christmas season! I love Christmas so much, and whenever I think about snow, Christmas songs, or movies I become so happy. I was having a bit of a hard time picking whether I wanted to write about my favorite Christmas movies or songs, so I decided to do both. Let's consider this a special Christmas bonus for you guys. Anyway, since I clearly cannot contain my excitement, let's go down the list starting with songs.

Sabrina Carpenter - Fruitcake EP

Starting off strong I have my two favorite songs from Sabrina Carpenter's Fruitcake EP. I love this EP so much, and it holds a very special place in my heart. My two favorite songs are "santa doesn't know you like i do" and "buy me presents." I made "santa doesn't know you like i do" my alarm for getting up in the morning, and I listen to it year round so I'm sure it will show up in my 2025 Wrapped lol.

Whitney Houston - Exhale

My next favorite Christmas song is a classic. "Do You Hear What I Hear" by Whitney Houston has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Her vocals on this song are amazing, and whenever I feel a Christmas chill in the air, this is the first song I listen to.

Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande- Oh Santa

As we all know, Mariah Carey kind of runs Christmas music with her whole "defrosting" that she does every year, but the year that she defrosted and made this song was one for the books in my opinion. I love this song so much and "pop Christmas music" is kind of my favorite genre of Christmas music. If I'm ever listening to a Christmas playlist on shuffle and this song plays, my volume automatically goes all the way up.

There are so many other songs I could highlight (Christmas & Chill by Ariana Grande, "Baby It's Cold Outside" by Idina Menzel & Michael Buble, "Last Christmas" by Wham!) but for the sake of this blog I'll cut things short. Now let's switch gears and move onto movies.

First up: Holidate. I don't remember when I first watched this movie, but since then I've no joke seen it at least 15 times. I think this movie is so cute and Christmasy and I watch it every December without fail.

Now this movie used to be my childhood favorite. Back when Family Video was a thing near my house, I used to rent this movie all the time and beg my brother to watch it with me. I love Arthur Christmas and to this day will get comfortable and watch this movie during Christmas time.

I personally think this movie is one of Disney's best. This movie is so funny, very well done, and I still enjoy it to this day. If you were a Good Luck Charlie fan and have not watched this movie I HIGHLY recommend it.

Last, but CERTAINLY not least: How the Grinch Stole Christmas. This movie and the animated one were very good to me, but you simply can't go wrong with the classic. To me this is an annual rewatch once it's Christmas time.

That my friends, was my list of my favorite Christmas songs and movies. There are so many more options I could add to the list, but I would simply be writing forever, so I had to call it quits. I hope as we wrap up the semester, and take a much needed break for Christmas and New Years, that you guys all settle down with your favorite Christmas movies to celebrate. If you do not celebrate Christmas, I hope you enjoy your winter break all the same!
