My Formula 1 Bingo Card

The Formula 1 off-season genuinely feels like a fun recession. I miss waiting for race weekends and waking up at ungodly hours just to see Ferrari tap out in the first half. I'm really looking forward to the 2026 season, which starts in March, because of all the new FIA regulations coming into play. I'm hoping for a championship battle (not like last year's McLaren battle) and tons of new race winners!
I discovered an app called BoxBoxd, where Formula 1 fans can rate races and participate in interactive activities like Secret Santa with the drivers and review the new 2026 liveries. Recently, they've added a 2026 Formula 1 Bingo card feature and you can create 25 predictions for the upcoming season. I think this is such a great way to curb the F1 deprivation, so I had to make one myself. I wanted to take this opportunity to over-explain my bingo card so I can say "I told you so" in December when I have five in a row (or preferably all 25 crossed out).

Two Drivers have Major Beef: Starting off strong, I foresee two drivers having a major argument this season. I'm envisioning George Russell's iconic "Whenever anything isn't going his way, he lashes out with unnecessary anger and borderline violence" (Yes, I wrote this from memory).
Isack Hadjar breaks Red Bull second seat curse: The dreadful second seat has tortured our favorite drivers for long enough. I'm confident that he can finally break the curse and land on the podium.
Checo Podium: I'm so excited to see Sergio Perez back on the grid! It would be so cool if he scored the first podium for Cadillac.
Someone out Lap 1 in Baku: I'm hoping someone recreates Oscar Piastri's fumble from 2025 and DNFs during the first lap for my entertainment purposes only.

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc on Podium Together: This one's going to be hard to cross off, but I really want to see a double Ferrari podium (preferably 1-2)!
Kimi Antonelli Takes Someone Out of the Race: Last year, I yelled at the TV when he took Max Verstappen out, and yelled again when he hit Charles Leclerc. I'm so excited to see his next victims this year.

Lando Norris DNF: I'm so sorry to any Lando fans out there, but after Papaya Rules last season, I really just need to see him DNF a race. Revenge for Oscar 2025.
Arvid Lindblad Finishes Top 10: Rookie drivers are always so exciting, and since Arvid is the only one this season, I'd love to see him score some points.
Australia GP Has Shocking Podium: With so many changes to the FIA regulations, I think this season will really be about who adapts to the car first. I'm sure this will be obvious in the first race and I'd love to see a surprising podium. It would really set the tone for a chaotic and fun season.
Max Verstappen Crash Out: I just love a good Max Verstappen crash out.
2025 Rookie Podium: The 2025 rookies are so talented and, I can't wait to see what they do with their second year in F1. This is basically a free space because I don't doubt that Isack and Kimi will score a few podiums this season.
Illegal Car Allegations: Is it really a good F1 season if we don't have some allegations? I can't wait to see all the drama from last year unfold in the new Drive to Survive season.
Pierre Gasly Radio Crash Out in French: There's some context to this one. I'm sure every chronically online Formula 1 fan has seen that one edit of Pierre Gasly on their feed. It's basically a compilation of his mistakes, except all of the clips are from one race. I'm hoping to witness another French crash out.
Alex Albon Podium: You can quote me on this one. Alex Albon is one of my favorite drivers, and I know he'll score a podium for Williams this year.

Photo: Williams Racing, Alex Albon Lewis Hamilton Comeback: Trust me. It's happening. If Ferrari's car is half decent this year, we will definitely see Lewis' long-awaited return to the podium. I'll probably cry tears of joy.
Charles Leclerc P1 Monaco: I truly hope Charles Leclerc wins every race in Monaco for the rest of his Formula 1 career. Is that too much to ask for?
Franco Colapinto Gets Points: I'm really rooting for him this year! I'm sure he can drag Alpine into the top 10 at least once.
Oscar Piastri Wins Two Races in a Row: Another much needed redemption arc for Oscar Piastri. He's so talented and I want him to win tons of races this year.
Smooth Operator Radio: This one's basically a free space. Carlos Sainz will totally score for Williams and add another clip to his Smooth Operator radio compilation.
Max-George-Charles Podium: I'd love to see my top three drivers rock the podium together this season!
5 DNF in One Race: It isn't really a long shot, given all the FIA's regulation changes this year. I think it would be very chaotic if the bigger teams DNF and we see some surprising results from the others.
Silverstone Wet Race: I love a good rainy race, and I'm hoping we see a few this season. My best guess is Silverstone!
