With the recent passing of One Direction member Liam Payne, many Directioners (One Direction fans) are taking this time to look back at the history of the band and the songs they made. These song selections are a few of the songs that I consider my favorite from the band, and if you don’t listen to them, I do recommend giving these songs a try.
10. One Thing- Up All Night
"One Thing" by One Direction is notable and special to me because this song was my introduction to the band in general. Around the same time, the song “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction was well-known, but I prefer this song as it reminds me of my love for this band in general.
9. Up All Night- Up All Night
"Up All Night" by One Direction is a song you would listen to when you need a feel-good moment, or preparing for an event you’ve been looking forward to. If you are looking for a boost in serotonin, I highly recommend this song! The upbeat tempo of this song will definitely get you into a good mood!
8. Moments- Up All Night
In light of recent events, I find myself looking back and listening to this song as it talks about the moments with another person, stating if they only have this one life, they would turn back time to relive these moments for one more day.
7. Little Things- Take Me Home
"Little Things" by One Direction is a song about love and acceptance, talking about the little quirks and things about the other person that they may be insecure about, but that they love those little things about that person because that’s what makes them who they are.
6. "You & I"- Midnight Memories
This song, while not as upbeat as other One Direction songs, has a powerful message in the slow beats of this song, talking about how surpassing other relationships is because of an inseparable bond between one another. In times when you are looking for hope in your love life, I recommend this song!
5. Diana- Midnight Memories
For those of you who, like I have, had a crush on any of the members of One Direction, this song will definitely make your heart flutter, even if your name isn't Diana. This song discusses being the one to treat Diana better than how they were formerly treated, asking for a chance to save her, stating only one chance is all they would need.
4. Night Changes- FOUR
Talking about how fast time changes, or in other words, how the Night Changes, how they feel for the person would not change, even if everything else changes.
3. Kiss You- Take Me Home
Again, coming back with a classic upbeat-boyband groove. This song is about wanting to kiss and be with someone and the rush you feel when connecting with this person.
2. Rock Me- Take Me Home
This song, like the title, brings a rock beat that is joined with the pop vocals of the band. This song is about letting someone go but regretting the decision in the long run, and wanting the other person to come back.
1. Heart Attack- Take Me Home
This song talks about the aftermath of a breakup, but the jealousy that comes with it when seeing the other person moving on because they still want that person back in their life, stating how trying to move on from them is like a heart attack by how much it hurts.
All in all, there are many other songs from One Direction that give off similar feelings and vibes, and if you liked any of my favorite songs in the list, I do recommend you give this boy band a try!
