Pylon by Beabadoobee - An album preview
On September 18th, singer Beabadoobee releases her next studio album, "Pylon." "Pylon" will be Beabadoobee's first album that steps into her new alternative style. Beabadoobee has previously expressed her love for the alt genre, and from what we've heard so far, this album seems nothing short of greatness.
"Sun Has Set" is the first song we got to preview for the album. Heavily distorted guitar and deep drum kicks really help define that alt sound. Of course, with Beabadoobee, there is always great lyricism. The combination of these two elements makes "Sun Has Set" one of Beabadoobee's most recognizable songs yet.
"Switchblade," our second song we got to preview, is one I'm sure will become a fan favorite. Although it steers further away from the alt sound she is seemingly going for, it still manages to shove itself into the album. And although we haven't heard the whole album yet, I'm sure "Switchblade" will provide a nice break in between songs.
The third and final song, "Memories," brings us back to classic Beabadoobee. Calmer acoustic sound and defined lyricism show us that old Beabadoobee isn't going away just yet. I love the choice of songs we got to preview before the album's full release. There really is something for every type of fan in this album, and I love that. "Pylon" releases on September 18th.
