Sueños 2025: Pura Vibra : On The Grid

If you were anywhere near Grant Park this weekend, you probably felt the music and the vibras.

Sueños 2025. came through with all the heat, and as a UIC student who made the trek, I’m still processing how amazing it was.

Let me just start by saying I saw so many amazing performances and had so much fun with friends.

I was able to witness Shakira's "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour". Her performance had everyone jumping, singing her songs, especially Hips Don't Lie and She Wolf.

Then came Peso Pluma, who had the whole park swaying to his corridos tumbados. After seeing him on his tour last year, this performance brought back great memories, and redeemed Peso after last year's chaos, haha.

Don Omar and Wisin gave us all the reggaetón classics we grew up on—pure nostalgia and perreo. And shoutout to Tito Doble P for turning it up for the newer wave of Latin music lovers.

I even got to interview DND, and let me just say—they were so genuine and hyped to be performing in Chicago. They're a newly formed group from different parts of the world, formed by Pharrell Williams! I'm so excited to see what they have in store for the future, they seem really dedicated to their craft.

Now let’s talk about the walking—because wow. I definitely got my steps in (RIP to my legs), but it was worth it for the fireworks alone. Seriously, the show at the end of the night? Unreal. Like a grand finale to a weekend of nonstop joy and dancing.

The whole vibe at Sueños felt like a big reunion of music lovers from all over the city.

If you’ve never been to Sueños, make a mental note now: go next year. It’s not just a concert—it’s a celebration of culture, music, and being together. And honestly, after a tough semester, what better way to blow off steam?

Catch y’all there in 2026.—Follow UIC Radio for more Sueños interviews, music coverage, and student life stories straight from the heart of campus. 🌆🎶
