Summer Smash Season!

I can’t believe we are just ONE month away from Summer Smash. Currently counting down the days because this year’s festival is going to be super EXCITING! Whether you already grabbed your wristband or you are still figuring out your plans, you seriously do not want to miss this. Let me tell you why I am so hyped.

-- Headliners --

On Friday, we are getting Yeat and Don Toliver together! I can't wait to see them both live. The second they hit the stage, I know the crowd will absolutely explode. I look forward to seeing this dynamic together. Either we will hear some of their songs from their discography OR.... will we hear something new from them??

And then Future for Saturday!! He previously was a headliner back in 2023. Let me tell you, the crowd went NUTS and everyone sang word for word, bar for bar. I can't wait to see the setup for the stage and his performance.

We are also getting Young Thug who is a complete legend to our hip-hop/rap community. After not being able to perform in 2021, we are so grateful to have him back at Summer Smash 2025. We are also even more excited to hear his new album, coming up soon, LIVE!!!

-- Stations and Festival Setups --

The whole festival experience makes Summer Smash so special. Walking around between sets, stopping by merch booths, checking out the fun stations, and just hanging out with friends all add to the vibe. Every corner of the festival brings something cool and I cannot wait to explore it all. I am also psyched to see how stages will be set up for each artist.

-- Food Lineup --

And let’s be real, the food is a huge part of why I am excited too. Last year, we had the Tamale Guy, La Michoacana, Harold's Chicken, Portillo's and so many more. Most of the vendors were local to Chicago, and I am excited to see what they are bringing to the space this year.

Summer Smash is more than just a festival. It is the people, the energy, the little surprise moments, and the whole summer celebration feeling. This festival is unique to its own as the Lyrical Lemonade team brings the heat. We at UIC Radio are so excited to see this festival come to life from June 20th-22nd.
