The Dr. Paula Show, Tuesday 10/04 At 11 AM: Dr. Claudia Lora


The next Dr.Paula Show will feature Dr. Claudia Lora, Assistant Professor of Medicine at UIC. The show will air on October 4th at 11:00 AM. She will be sharing her thoughts on health literacy among Hispanics with chronic kidney disease and how technology based patient education intersects with her research.

Dr. Lora is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine under the division of Nephrology.  Dr. Lora attended medical school at UIC, and did all of her medical training here. She also completed a Masters in Science at the UIC School of Public Health in 2011.  Dr. Lora serves on the Department of Medicine Diversity Task Force which is charged to increase diversity in the Internal Medicine Residency Program, medicine subspecialty fellowship programs, and faculty. She is also part of the Department of Medicine’s Faculty Affairs Council. Dr. Lora has an interest in technology-based patient education, chronic kidney disease, acculturation, health disparities and health literacy.
