The Runarounds

I recently finished watching The Runarounds, and I must say, this show is incredible! The show follows a group of recent high school graduates in North Carolina, who form a rock band, hoping to chase their musical dreams over the summer. They call themselves "The Runarounds," and the best part is that they are an actual band; they aren't just actors, they are musicians, making the show even better!!

I have to tell you, I am obsessed with this band, and their songs have been on repeat for me! Here are all the songs that I think are a must-listen.

Sophia (Jam)

I’m not sure what is in this song, but I’m completely addicted to its melody and theme. It’s such a romantic song! Charlie, the main character, sings it to the girl he likes, whose name is Sophia, duh. This song expresses a man’s yearning, and I absolutely love it!

Senior Year

This is going to be my senior year song, and I am not going to forget it to use it as one! The ending of this song slaps. Even though they wrote this song about a high school graduation. This song sums up the main theme of the show as well: chasing dreams before they slip away.

Ghosts

This song is such a banger! This is also lowkey such a summer song, like if this band came out in the summer, they would have been a summer repeat. Though I don't really know how to interpret this song, the vibes are just good.

Hypocrites

This song explores themes of frustration, dishonesty, and finally letting go. Within the context of the show, it reflects the characters' struggles with authenticity in relationships, friendships, and their own ambitions.
