This Year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

A, what seems like, long over due accomplishment for Green Day was finally made on April 18th, 2015. This was the night of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. At this year’s ceremony were the inductions of Ringo Starr, The “5” Royales, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Joan Jett and the Heartbreakers, Lou Reed, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble, and Bill Withers. It was an eventful night filled with amazing musicians that deserved to attend, perform, and be inducted into the hall of fame. The only unexpected and unwelcome guest is shown in this unfortunate picture:

Yes, Miley Cyrus. Gasp. Like, literal gasp. Are you thinking, “What the Hell is she doing there?” or “What a loser.” If so, you are completely correcting in doing so. I don’t know how she thinks she has the audacity to take a picture was legends like Joan Jett and Paul McCartney let alone attend this event. I don’t know who gave her the invite, but I hope they got fired.

As far as the inductions, Green Day got a long overdue acceptance into the Hall of Fame. Rolling stone magazine recently interviewed Billie Joe Armstrong regarding the night asking if he was still coming down off of the “high” from that night. Billie replied, “Yeah, it’s sort of like a natural LSD. The whole thing was just surreal, but instead of LSD, it was reality. We had a great time. It was just a wild weekend. There was so much going on.” Also pointed out in the interview was the fact that they performed the song “Green Day” from when the band had first changed their name to Green Day from Sweet Children many years ago. The night was a success for Green Day, not so much for people that had to be near Miley.

Don’t talk to Billie Joe. Billie Joe doesn’t have time for you, fool.
