Ever since I moved in to the Pilsen neighborhood I have been trying to get more connected with Chicago’s Art Scene. There are murals all throughout Pilsen and several art studios as well. On the second Friday of every month is gallery night. On those nights several showcases take place. Pilsen is a neighborhood filled with art and it is Chicago’s official art district so it’s a great place to start.
This past Friday Mauricio Ramirez, local Chicago Artist, hosted his first solo art exhibition titled Tycons at Lacuna Lofts in Pilsen. This individual’s art really caught my attention. His work is unique and fun. You can check out more of his work at my other post on this exhibition.
Below is a video that shows a short recap of the event and a short interview with Mauricio.
