Westeros Volleyball Roster

The official roster for the Westeros Professional Coed Volleyball Team. Players have been scouted from the Seven Kingdoms, each carefully selected for their position based off of physical abilities and skill (team chemistry has been almost completely disregarded).

Staff

Tywin Lannister

Head Coach

A man used to ruling. Years of experience have made him a master in technique. Head of House Lannister, Hand of the King for three different kings, and father to the most messed up children in Westeros. He will lead this team to victory with an iron fist. He is widely feared and respected, making him a formidable presence even on the sidelines.

Tyrion Lannister

Assistant Coach

A master in strategy, his intelligence will be effective in a game of wit. Able to view the court in different perspective, Tyrion is essential to spotting holes within the team as well as the other side of the court. He is able to gain favor with the worst of enemies, which will be needed when the team gets into it with the ref or Tywin.

Lord Varys

Team Manager

Master of communication, Lord Varys will secure this team a court in every gym in every tournament. It is up to him to gain intel from the team that they are too scared to bring up with the coach. By forming a personal connection with each team member, Lord Varys is the key to keeping team drama to a minimum. Or perhaps he will make it worse...

Sandor Clegane (The Hound)

Position: Middle Blocker

Height: 6'8"

Hometown: The Westerlands

Just as terrifying on the court as he is off the court; The Hound's aggressive demeanor and soft spot for libero, Arya Stark, make him the best blocker in all of Westeros. He is nearing his retirement; this may be his final season.

Brienne of Tarth

Position: Middle Blocker

Height: 6'3"

Hometown: Island of Tarth

Brienne's fierce loyalty to her teammates makes her a reliable blocker. She is determined and a quick learner. She is also devoted to protecting libero, Arya Stark and is an amazing cover for outside hitter, Sansa Stark.

Cersei Lannister

Position: Setter & Team Captain

Height: 5'6"

Hometown: The Westerlands

An extremely aggressive player who is eager to set up the perfect attack. Cersei is the queen of the court. Her eye for holes on the other side of the net as well as drive to impress her father, make her a relentless player. She is captain of the team but is quick to lose her temper, making her play harder (and sometimes sloppier).

Daenerys Targaryen

Position: Setter

Height: 5'2"

Hometown: The Free Cities

Daenerys was quite the underdog when the scouting process first began, however, she was quick to learn. She has earned her place on the team through tireless practice and an immense belief in herself. Her ego clouds her playing sometimes, making her set plays that are not realistic but somehow almost always work out. People speculate that she is on her way to being the next captain...

Oberyn Martell

Position: Right Side Hitter

Height: 5'10"

Hometown: Dorne

Oberyn is reliable and laid back. His relaxed demeanor is needed on the court when Cersei is setting. A skilled left-handed player who is the first to cheer and encourage his teammates. He, however, often does not show up to practice and is currently not playing due to a SEVERE concussion.

Sansa Stark

Position: Outside Hitter & Co-Captain

Height: 5'10"

Hometown: The North

Quiet and quick, Sansa is becoming the most well-rounded player. From years of watching from the sidelines, she has quickly learned the game and grown into her confidence. Her years of observation have turned her into a strategist, landing her the position of co-captain. She recently transferred from Bolton Ramsay's team, which dampened her potential but made her an extremely aggressive attacker and fierce defender.

Greyworm

Position: Outside Hitter

Height: 5'8"

Hometown: The Summer Isles

Greyworm is a player of few words, but he has a deadly attack. Playing from a young age, he has mastered perfect technique and form. Scouts attempted to recruit him in the past, but it was not until setter, Daenerys, joined that he committed to the team. He refuses to hit for anyone but her, but his kill count makes him a valuable player.

Theon Greyjoy

Position: Defensive Specialist

Height: 5'9"

Hometown: The Iron Islands

Theon gets in his head and acts out, but his heart remains on the court. Eager to please, he is skilled in defense but stays backrow because he sucks at attacking. Theon is currently benched for the season due to a recent groin injury and treason (it's been a bad year for him).

Arya Stark

Position: Libero

Height: 5'0"

Hometown: The North

The backrow powerhouse of the team. Arya moves swiftly and silently, her small build allowing her to get to the ball before anyone else. She also has an unnatural foresight due to a few years training overseas. She can see plays before the ball is even set. With extreme dedication, self-discipline, and impulsivity, it was Arya who scored the winning point against the White Walker Team with a surprise backrow kill.
