What genres do Monster High girls read?

Hello ghouls and monsters, it's Halloween week, the best time of the year. We all know the famous and iconic Monster High girls with their spooktacular fashion sense. But have you ever wondered what they read during their free time? The book that a ghoul carries tells us a lot about her, so let's dive in and see what books these monsters bond with.

Frankie Stein: Frankie is very new to the world, literally. She's only days old. When she is at a bookstore, browsing for her next read, she tends to lean towards the coming-of-age books. Books about life's firsts, growth, and finding yourself. This perfectly reflects what Frankie is going through. Since she is so freshly made, she's still figuring out the world and who she wants to be. Frankie also picks up a more philosophical book from time to time. Books about what it means to be alive. She is a creation, something that was made; she definitely wonders what it means to be alive.

Clawdeen Wolf: As a wolf, she is a protector, so action and adventure books are something that she is into. Stories with the main character leading a team on a high-stakes mission. Stories about loyalty and teams. However, her true passion is fashion. Her reading material, for sure, is heavily composed of fashion magazines. She carries magazines in her bookbag, and they're placed all around her room.

Draculaura: Born on Valentine's Day, Draculaura is a romance girlie: star-crossed monster lovers, happy-ever-afters, and deep, meaningful relationships. She keeps a book by her bed and reads a few chapters before bed; she giggles and kicks her feet when the couple have their first kiss. On her bookshelf, there are also a couple of vegan cookbooks. Her food choices are different than other vampires, so sometimes she might need a bit of help with coming up with delicious meals.

Cleo de Nile: The queen of the school, and an actual royal, wouldn't just read any book. She reads high society dramas. Novels with elite social clubs, luxury, and rivalries. A perfect escape from her own troubles in her life. Of course, being royalty and all, she likes to stay informed on the world's queens and princesses. In between classes, Cleo has a biography open on a page about the most iconic empresses.

Ghoulia Yelps: Our favorite zombie girl is often found with a graphic novel in her hands. Admiring the different art styles between novels. Her shelves are lined with multiple series and special additions of different graphic novels. Being the problem-solver Ghoulia is, when she is not nose deep in a graphic novel, she is enjoying mystery fiction. Novels based on logic, evidence gathering, and with a smart and analytical main character.

Well ghouls, that's all for this week's blog post. I hope I have captured these girls ' characters well enough. Until next week, enjoy a spooky Halloween!!
