What Spotify Podcast You Should Listen To Based On Your Zodiac Sign

Posted on November 20, 2019

Dare I Say

Host Olivia Wilde leads unfiltered, intimate conversations about touchy topics through honesty and vulnerability. Each episode, she brings two influential women with strong opinions to talk about pressing issues in today’s society. Though it sometimes gets heated, the podcast’s goal is to provide a platform for multiple perspectives to be showcased on a particular issue. This podcast can be described as informative, empowering, and inspirational.

Call Your Girlfriend

In this podcast, two long-distance best friends come together to discuss topics such as politics, entertainment, culture, and more! Each episode feels conversational; filled with laughs and a casual tone of voice. Ann Friedman and Aminatou Sow come together to provide simple entertainment while still providing newsworthy content.

Comedy Bang Bang

This comedy podcast is hosted by writer and comedian Scott Aukerman, who has worked on other comedy projects since 2009. The show consists of humorous banter between Scott and different guests. It provides genuine, conversational humor for listeners to relate to. Even though the show has aired for over a decade on radio, the podcast version is just as much of a success as it was back in 2009.

The Viall Files

If you’re a bachelor fan like myself, the Viall Files is the perfect podcast for you. Former Bachelor Nick Viall talks dating advice, answers fan questions, dishes on the behind the scenes of the bachelor, and more. Also, he brings special guests on the show to talk about different issues in each episode. This funny and entertaining show is a must-listen for reality-tv lovers.

Why Won’t You Date Me

This podcast is filled with brutal honesty as host Nicole Byer spills all the tea as to why she’s still single. Each episode she talks about subjects such as dating, sex, and relationships. Also, she brings on guest speakers to talk about experiences in each other’s lives relating to love. The topics are pretty unfiltered, making for a funny and entertaining podcast.

Becoming Wise

This podcast dives in deep with subjects such as self-discovery and the art of living. It provides a refreshing start to each morning, as the episodes are about as long as it takes you to make a cup of tea, according to the podcast. The spirituality of this podcast allows for mindfulness and meditation, and it clears the mind with hopeful and enlightening topics.

Office Ladies

Currently, this is my favorite podcast I am listening to. Each week Jenna and Angela will break down an episode of The Office, and they also provide different fast facts that we never knew. This show is both conversational and funny, as Jenna and Angela are best friends in real life, so you can really feel the comfortability in their conversations. A must-listen for lovers of The Office.

Getting Curious With Jonathan Van Ness

We all know Jonathan Van Ness from the Netflix hit Queer Eye, but I bet you didn’t know that he also runs a podcast! Each episode is simply a journey of whatever is on Jonathan’s mind, and the exploration to learn more about various issues. This is accomplished by inviting different guest stars that are experts in their field to teach both Jonathan and listeners about that episode’s topic.

Ear Biscuits

From the popular YouTube channel Good Mythical Morning, Rhett and Link provide an entertaining and comedic podcast talking about different subjects trending on the internet. Their candid conversations make for easy listening for the audience, even if they seem to be rambling most of the time. Additionally, they talk about funny stories that have happened to them personally making it relatable for the audience to listen to.

How Did This Get Made

Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzoukas watch questionable films and comedically criticize how the film was ever produced. Usually with a guest speaker, they break down bad movies and essentially make fun of their production through humor and mockery. Some movies mentioned recently were Friday The 13th Part VI and Jaws.

This Might Get Weird

Hosted by YouTubers Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart, they provide a candid conversation of absolute nonsense including various storytimes and random things they believe to be funny. I find this podcast to be highly relatable and comedic, making it an easy listen. Most listeners come from Grace and Mamrie’s past YouTube fanbases, but the podcast is still reputable as the two women have moved on to new stages of their lives.

Terrible, Thanks For Asking

According to The Atlantic, “The show continuously, unapologetically, ferociously plows into subjects most people are too uncomfortable to touch.” Hosted by author Nora McInerny, the podcast touches on honest and sometimes uncomfortable subjects relating to emotional moments in all of our lives. She breaks the stigma by talking us through pain, trauma, and heartbreak covered in ways that are usually taboo or inappropriate to talk about.
