Hey everyone! I hope we all enjoyed our spring break! Over the last two weeks, we've gotten the lineup for this year's Lollapalooza here in Chicago. We also got to see the day schedule for the lineup, which was pretty cool. For today, I wanted to go over this years lineup and give some recommendations if you are trying to figure out who you are going to go see this August.
Let's get right into it!
Charli xcx

This is a pretty obvious pick- but I thought I'd include her anyway. In case you've been living under a rock for the past 2 years, Charli is best known for her hyperpop-adjacent sounds. Her most recent studio-album brat got a lot of attention online for it's simplicity and club-inspired sound. If you like pop bangers to lose you mind too, Charli is for you. Considering she is headlining the entire festival, it will likely be a pretty big and rowdy crowd. You really wouldn't want to miss it!
beabadoobee

Beabadoobee is an artist that's been up-and-coming for a while now, and for good reason!
She's been very popular in the indie space for her indie/alt rock sound. She's had a couple of viral hits at this point, and has something for everybody waiting in her discography. I haven't personally seen her live yet, but I have high hopes!
Not For Radio

Maria Zendoya, the lead singer of The Marias, is coming to Lolla under her alias Not For Radio. If you only go to festivals to party, this set may not be for you. Her music is very mellow and might prove to be hard to dance to. Based on her recent tour, though, she will definitely put on a show that will stick in your memory.
Audrey Hobert

She may bit a bit of an oddball, but Audrey is one of my favorite names in indie-pop right now. She's just so unique and carries herself so differently. If you are looking for something new and refreshing, definitely give her a listen and show up to her set. Embrace your wackiness!!
Slayyyter

Slayyyter is kind of like a modern-day Kesha. She has that X factor and so many pop bangers, too. If you are a fan of Charli xcx, or any kind of dance/edm music, you will definitely something to like from her. Not to mention she just realeased her new album, so you can experience her latest bangers in person.
Here are some of the other artists I plan on seeing at this years Lolla;
Lorde
MUNA
Ethel Cain
Olivia Dean
Adela
Julia Wolf
Between Friends
Tate McRae
Oklou
The Smashing Pumpkins
Zara Larson
Ado
Jennie
Geese
The Neighborhood
Yaosobi
Wet Leg
Ninjarachi
I'm gonna leave it at that! We've got a couple of months before the festival starts, so there's no excuse not to familiarize yourself with some of these artists!
As always, thank you for reading, and have a great week!
