Hey everyone! In last weeks post, I reported on the breaking news that beabadoobee was releasing a single featuring the amazing Marias. One week later, and we already have the song! Their new single released on Thursday in the middle of the day (for Central time). I feel like more artists have been placing less importance on releasing their music on Friday's,..
But whatever, lets talk about the song a little bit!
Sound
Honestly, this song sounds exactly like you would think. It's a beabadoobee song, with a little bit of Marias flare. What else can you really ask for though? If I'm being honest, I thought it would have more of a bite to it. Sure, it fits the grunge-esque aesthetic that I thought they were going for, but I kind of expected a big finale or something. It's not that the mood of the song is completely linear, it's energy does grow throughout the song. Don't get me wrong, I think the production's great, but I think we could have done more to spice it up, yknow?
Lyrics
Again, lyrics are the standard affair for both beabadoobee and The Marias. There's not very many strong lyrical moments in this song. Like, everything sound nice when you're listening, but I don't feel a lot of weight behind some of these lines. Though I will say, the Pre-Chorus is probably the best part of the song. Not only is it super catchy, but it pretty much summarizes what the whole song is about. But then again, explaining the lyrics feels slightly redundant because they are kind of surface-level and easy to understand. I wish I had more to say, but a lot of these lyrics are just so straightforward that I don't know if picking their words apart are worthwhile.
"All I Did Was Dream of You"
beabadoobee (feat. The Marias)

Rating:
6.5/10
Notes:
Pretty much what you'd expect from this collaboration!
This is a pretty inoffensive song; they didn't want reinvent the wheel
Pre-Chorus is a memorable moment from this track, I like the lyrics and how it progresses into the Chorus

Final Thoughts
This song is pretty good, not anything crazy though. Maybe my expectations for this collab were a little too high, but I was slightly underwhelmed by what we received. Don't get me wrong, I really do like this song. Just... maybe not as much as I thought I would? Everything feels a little too perfect- I don't think I was being kept on my toes. That's probably why I'm not having a resounding response to this single. Regardless, it's still a good song! For now, I'll leave you with that. Thanks as always for reading!

This was a really fun and thoughtful review of All I Did Was Dream of You by beabadoobee feat. The Marías because I didn’t realise how much the vibe and emotion of the song can shift when you dig into the details of the melody, lyrics and collaboration — your take on how the dreamy quality and chemistry between the artists come through actually made me want to listen more closely instead of just having it on in the background; I sometimes get so wrapped up in my own studies and deadlines that I barely take time to read posts like this even though they’re genuinely enjoyable and make you appreciate music more deeply, and I also have a lot of…
I came across discowin.net while browsing review blogs and decided to test it myself. The first thing I noticed was the huge range of games—definitely one of its strongest sides. Everything is well organized, so you don’t waste time searching. I also tested the support chat, and the response was quick and helpful. The mobile version works perfectly in a browser, which is convenient. From my perspective, it’s a reliable and modern option with a clear focus on user experience.
