End-of-Year Reset: Because Your Life Deserves a Refresh Too

December can be a weird month because you are stuck between, "Where did all this time go? " and, "That we are already starting a new year?" You might have achieved most of your 2025 goals, or you might have started with them but never ended up completing them. You need a reset before the year ends. Finish those goals and get your life sorta in place.

  1. Get your goals started or done (if possible)

If your goal is a year-long one, start now; do not wait until January 2026. Trust me, if you've already given up on it, you will likely give up on it next year. So, work on what you want to achieve before the year ends. If you have already started, great, I am proud of you! Now give yourself time to look back on it and try to finish what's left.

  2. Deep-clean the “forgotten places.”

The forgotten places are drawers or your belongings in random bags, or a storage room filled with a bunch of junk from years ago. Clean them up, maybe you will find something you thought was missing or find things you no longer need. Trust me, I can be a hoarder too, especially with things I become attached to, but when it comes to clothes, think of it as getting rid of old ones to make room for new. Donate clothes that you rarely wear or know you won't wear anytime in the future because they are no longer your style.

  3. Clean your phone out

Especially if you have storage issues!! I love taking photos, but sometimes I fill my camera roll with the same object, which I need at the moment to select the best, but I don't need later, and I forget to delete them. Especially screenshots, from 2024, trust, you do not need that anymore. Also, your email apps! You don't receive 1000+ emails from clothing brands or food companies.

  1. Relationship and Boundaries

Reach out to friends who have helped you this year or shown you love and care; thank them and spend quality time with them. Also, consider your relationships with friends that you have been doubting. What did they do wrong? Can you work on this friendship, or is it something you need to let go of? It is essential to establish boundaries with the relationships you wish to maintain in the coming year.

I hope everyone has a great holiday and takes the chance to reflect on what this year has been like, rather than stressing about the year to come.
