Horror Movie Killers I'd Let Kill Me

Happy Spooky Season everybody! In honor of the month of October coming to an end and Halloween at the end of the week, I thought I'd write a Halloween themed blog about some of my favorite fictional killers. To keep things interesting, in today's blog I am writing about horror movie killers I'd willingly let kill me. Some of these have some actual reasoning behind them, and others are purely satirical. Let's dive right in. :)

Joe Goldberg from YOU (2018-2025)
Joe Goldberg from YOU (2018-2025)

I would first like to start with an honorable mention. While the show You is not technically considered horror, it is considered a psychological thriller. If you do not know the show... I will not spoil it because I highly recommend that everybody watches it on their own time. All I will say about Joe is that he murders a lot of people in the show which is why I think he fits in with the theme of this blog. Now you may be wondering: why would you let Joe Goldberg kill you? I'd let Joe kill me number one because he is incredibly handsome, especially with the beard. Number two, Joe is a really smart man. He plans his kills and makes sure he gets rid of the bodies in a well thought out way. If Joe were to kill me I know he would dispose of my body properly as well as come up with a believable story for my disappearance. If a fictional killer were to murder me, I'd at least want the job done right.

Foxy from Five Nights at Freddy's (2014)
Foxy from Five Nights at Freddy's (2014)

The second honorable mention is Foxy from FNAF. While FNAF isn't a movie, it is considered a horror game. I remember whenever I would play FNAF as a kid, if I checked a room and Foxy was there, I would immediately hold my iPad away from my face in fear. Now though, Foxy is one of my favorite characters from this game, and I think the way he looks when he jumps out at you is funny. If his face is the last thing I see before I die I'd be okay with that.

Now let's get into the actual list of characters!!

Amber Freeman from Scream 5 (2022)
Amber Freeman from Scream 5 (2022)

First on the list of killers is Ghostface, specifically Amber Freeman from Scream 5. I think that Ghostface is a very cool fictional character to begin with, but Amber's version of him was amazing. I think the actor Mikey Madison played her role really well, and when I found out she was Ghostface I wasn't mad at all. Although I think being stabbed to death would be an awful way to go, if Amber Freeman were behind the mask it might hurt a little less.

The Grabber from The Black Phone (2021)
The Grabber from The Black Phone (2021)

Second killer on the list is The Grabber from the movie The Black Phone. I personally loved this movie so much, and The Grabber is a great fictinal villain in my opinion. Slight spoiler, but the scene where he was sitting at the top of the staircase was both parts scary and hilarious. If you haven't watched the first The Black Phone I highly recommend it. I think his character is so cool, and I know this goes against the whole point of this blog, but I would have a fun time trying to escape him and the creepy basement. With that being said, The Grabber ranks pretty high on the list of acceptable killers.

Chef from The Menu (2022)
Chef from The Menu (2022)

Next is my personal favorite, Chef from the movie The Menu. Chef is on this list not only because The Menu is one of my all time favorite movies, but because I love him. This movie is considered a psychological thriller, so not technically a horror but I had to add it. If you are someone who isn't fond of jumpscares, but likes a slightly chilling vibe, I think this movie is perfect. I don't wanna spoil anything because I highly recommend that you watch the entire movie and get the full effect for yourself. I will say though, I put Chef on the list because I think he's very funny, and his entire plan was so well thought out I wouldn't even be mad. Also, who wouldn't wanna be killed by a world renounced chef?

Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Last but certainly not least, a true icon: Freddy Krueger. This one has absolutely no logical reasoning behind it because in real life I would hate to be murdered by Freddy Krueger, but I think his outfit is fire and that is why he's made it onto the list. If my deepest fears were going to be used against me by a man with knives for hands, I'd want him to have a decent outfit on. Freddy Krueger's sweater is iconic for a reason, and the hat really ties the whole thing together. This is honestly the outfit I would have picked out if I were going to haunt people as well.

That is all for "Horror Movie Killers I'd Let Kill Me". I hope you all have a very scary Halloween, and that you get to eat all the candy you can dream of. Bye for now!
