Kali Uchis in Chicago! : On The Grid

Chicago got blessed with round two of Kali Uchis, and it was everything I hoped for and more. As someone who’s been a fan for years and has had the chance to see her live in 2022 and 2023, this performance felt like the culmination of everything I love about her music.

The second she stepped on stage, the energy in the room skyrocketed. Fans screamed, phones went up, and everyone seemed completely ready to get lost in her world for the night. She opened with tracks from her brand-new album Sincerely, and hearing those songs live for the first time was an almost surreal experience. Each song landed with precision, and her voice carried effortlessly across the venue. The set flowed seamlessly into throwbacks from Por Vida, which were met with pure excitement from longtime fans like me. Singing along to those older tracks felt like revisiting her roots, while the new music showcased how much she’s grown and evolved as an artist.

But the music was only part of the magic. Kali’s choreography was mesmerizing—each movement perfectly synced with the music yet full of her own flair. Her dancers added so much energy, but even when she was front and center, she commanded every eye in the room. Her stage presence felt effortless yet magnetic, and it was clear she was fully in the moment with the audience.

Everyone was singing along, cheering, and basking in the energy Kali brought to the stage. Having seen her in 2022, 2023, and now 2025, it’s clear she keeps raising the bar with every show.
