Lollapalooza 2025: Day 3 Recap

When I woke up Saturday morning, my feet were killing me. It's entirely my fault for walking 9 miles in cowboy boots, but still, nothing could've prepared me for that kind of pain. After limping around my friends' apartment for an hour or so while I got ready, I (slowly) made my way to Grant Park to begin my day.

Behind The Scenes

I spent most of Day 3 in the press lounge, taking advantage of the quiet and shady area. It was very fascinating to watch the way other people worked. Whether they were editing videos, filming content, or conducting interviews, I was invested. One of the things I was most excited about when I found out I would be attending Lollapalooza was the opportunity to speak with people in the career I am working to pursue. While in the lounge, I met some lovely people who work for a media publication that I am a fan of, and spoke with them for a couple of hours. It was one of the many highlights of my weekend (highlight reel coming soon).

While sitting in the press lounge, I also saw a number of artists doing press for different media publications. A group that I was absolutely starstruck by was KATSEYE. I hadn't listened to much of their music prior to the festival, but looking up from my phone to see the group casually standing right next to me was an insane moment. I saw many music artists and influencers over the weekend, and I had to try my hardest to suppress my inner fangirl. Spoiler alert: It did not work.

Rest & Relaxation

Day 3 was the day I chose to relax and pace myself. Luckily for me, it was made easier because I was invited to visit Airbnb Haven, a private lounge available for Airbnb guests. The lounge had private restrooms, photo ops, free WiFi, a private bar, makeup and hair touch-up, and even a shoe cleaning station. Airbnb was also offering DJ lessons, stylist sessions and more all weekend long.

When I arrived, I was kindly greeted and given a wristband to enter Airbnb Haven. All of the staff members were very kind and welcoming. I grabbed a drink and made my way over to sit in one of the many comfortable seating areas inside the lounge. Each sitting area was shaded and air conditioned, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, Airbnb Haven was adjacent to The Grove stage, making it the perfect place to relax without missing out on any live music.

Performances

While I had plans to see a few more artists, I was only able to make it to two sets on Day 3: Wasia Project and Clairo.

I made my way to see Wasia Project (1:45 - 2:30, Tito's Handmade Vodka) as soon as I arrived to the festival, and I can easily say that they were one of my favorite sets of the weekend. I am a huge fan of the duo and have been looking forward to seeing them for months, and the set was better than I could've ever imagined.

I had a huge time gap before Clairo (6:30 - 7:30, Bud Light), which is when I spent time in the press lounge. On my way back to Bud Light, I stopped at Beat Kitchen in Chow Town and grabbed a jumbo slice of pizza (the best decision I made all weekend). I returned back to the hill I mentioned in my Day 1 recap and I had the perfect view of the Bud Light stage.

As expected, Clairo's set was incredible. Her live performance style was very interesting to see in a festival setting, yet it fit perfectly. Clairo's soft vocals and dreamy instrumentals completely immersed me in the performance and I hope I get the opportunity to attend another show of her's in the future.

Final Thoughts

After Clairo's set ended, I decided to end my day early and leave the festival. Day 3 was all about pacing myself, which I can say I did successfully. I still walked quite a bit, and I was very tired, but I felt much better, and much more rested ahead of Day 4.
