Hi everyone!! In case you haven't noticed the little blog schedule I've been following, I try to give myself two weeks to fully listen to an album before writing about it! So, for this week, I'm just going to yap about what I've listened to and why I think you should hear it too!

Slayyyter - WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA
This album has been absolutely incredible from what I've listened to so far. Currently, my favorites are "GAS STATION" and "YES GODDD". It's a perfect album for a night out, and full of energy and incredible production. It follows a similar theme to other pop albums this year, with short songs, a short runtime, heavy electronic influences, and high danceability. I would love it if 2026 marked a return to electropop, and it's really awesome to see how modern pop is drawing on the 2010s crunch and beats. Yay!! I definitely hope to do a deeper dive into this album later.

Angèle - "What You Want"
Angèle just released "What You Want" back in February, but as the weather warms up, I've had it on repeat. It's a banger with a fantastic beat and all the fun electronic production that's been a staple this year. Justice has done a truly incredible job with the beat, and it contrasts so well with Angèle's smoother vocals. I haven't seen the music video yet, but the reviews I've read say it's great! So, check it out if you want.

Florence Road - Spring Forward
Florence Road just released their second EP, and I'm a big fan! They did an absolutely insane cover of Phoebe Bridger's "Georgia" for triple j's Like a Version. And yes, it was a cover of the red flannel version (for those who know). My favorites from the EP are "Storm Warnings" and "Hanging Out To Dry," as they really showcase some awesome vocals and indie-rock instrumentation. Such a great band, and I think they deserve some more love.

MARIS - "Missing Me"
MARIS just released "Missing Me," which has some awesome glitchy, autotuned vocals and an excellent little tom groove. The drums consistently come in on beat 2 in the chorus, which I always love, and MARIS's vocals are as stellar as they always are. There's a live performance with Vevo DSCVR on YouTube, and if you want to see some superstar vocals, you should check it out. Her range and clarity are just so impressive.

Tiffany Day - HALO
I think I've just been having an electropop spring (and hopefully summer, since all these songs are so fun and catchy). There's definitely a lot of autotune and high-synth energy on this album, but it handles tension and release well and has some nice builds. The album is well-paced, as this much energy can sometimes get a little monotonous with all the songs blending into each other, but I like it a lot!! My standouts are "EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WANTED" and "LOOK UP".
Final Thoughts
Anyway, that's about it for my shorter blog this week. I hope you guys enjoy and let me know your thoughts!!
