I love to be hidden
Clutching my universe tightly behind my back
It's a power, promise, and decline
If you’re the stars, I'm a rib of grass stretching
Divulged in a secret language
Encoding the truth, casting a cover
But there’s stars in my eyes
And now really isn’t the time
I may never touch the same drop of water twice
As I watch the waves hit the shore too late at night
Please, turn on every light in this place
Cast that artificial feeling till it bleeds within
Hazel eyes rounded with red
May I never feel the same drops of water twice.
Window Watching
May all my unrequites flutter through the sky,
Dazzle like stars,
And may you one day catch a glimpse of me there
But never realize where the light comes from
As it shines either way
May the nights always remain quiet
Allowing the animals to run free
And the minds to run wild
Let me capture fragmented universes of you, a game I love to play
Let the water always find the leaves
And the leaves leave the trees
And your laughter reaches my ears
And may gentle souls find their homes,
I hope you find your gentle soul
Goodnight,
May this all leave my mind.
