On April 4th, The Last Dinner Party played a show at the Salt Shed, and boy oh boy did they not disappoint. The Salt Shed proved to be a great venue for the English Rock band. This was a sold-out show, and the crowd was amazing. I've been to the Salt Shed for concerts before, but none quite like this. The set's lights, props, and backdrop gave the show an elegant, royalty-esque quality that The Last Dinner Party brings to their music.
I walked into the venue about 45 - 30 minutes before Florence Road, the opener, was set to go on stage. The GA standing area was filling up quickly, and I was able to stand in the middle of the venue. Florence Road, a 4-piece Indie Rock band from Ireland, formed in 2019. Prior to the show, I had listened to plenty of Florence Road, so I had high hopes for them. The band opened up with Figure It Out from their 2025 EP Fall Back. This song is great when streaming, but they really took it to the next level here. Florence Road really amped up their drum noise for this song and the show in general. Directly after this, the band led into Miss. Miss was released in late 2025, a part of the 2026 EP Spring Forward. The crowd received this song well, and the band made it easy to dance along to their newer, unfamiliar songs. Towards the end of their set, Florence Road played Break the Girl off of Fall Back. This is my favorite Florence Road song, and it didn't disappoint. Lily Aron's vocals are really great, and she did an amazing job at the show. This track led into Goodnight, the final song of the band's set. Goodnight is one of those songs that you can't stop yourself from smiling when listening. Florence Road definitely brought that energy to their set. Goodnight was my favorite song from their set. Florence Road played a 9-song set and did a great job of warming up the crowd. The Last Dinner Party couldn't have picked a better band to open for them.

The Last Dinner Party is one of those bands I finally got to check off my bucket list. Going into their show, I was bouncing off the walls with excitement. I've heard so many things about how good their shows are, so I was prepared for the time of my life, and they didn't disappoint. The Last Dinner Party opened with Agnus Dei from their 2025 album From The Pyre. This song is hands-down the perfect opener for their tour and album. The album version of this song isn't too over the top, but The Last Dinner Party really managed to give it that extra kick it deserves in person. The Feminine Urge was the first song played from their 2024 album Prelude to Ecstasy. The Feminine Urge was a song I was really looking forward to seeing in person. Isolated lyrics really make this song great, and I loved it when the rest of the band chimes in for a chorus effect. When the first note of this track played, the crowd immediately erupted, so it's safe to say this song was well anticipated. While this tour was for the band's most recent album, From The Pyre, they did a great job of switching between their 2 albums to give the best of both worlds. About halfway through the set, The Last Dinner Party stopped to speak to the crowd. An Instagram comment politely requested Portrait of a Dead Girl, so the band decided to play it. Portrait of a Dead Girl is a fan favorite, and it didn't disappoint. This one also really got the crowd singing along. Towards the end of their 2-hour set, The Last Dinner Party played Sinner and Nothing Matters. Both songs come from Prelude to Ecstasy and are the band's 2 most popular tracks. These songs were obviously the headline of the show, and it's hard to top them. These songs were loud, energetic, and engaging. Eventually, after an extended version of Nothing Matters, The Last Dinner Party fled backstage to wait for their encore. For the encore This is the Killer Speaking was chosen. This track comes from From The Pyre and takes notes from Nothing Matters. Piano and quick guitar hits really help define the intro to this song. This was by far my favorite song of the set and lasted quite some time.
Although the band wasn't at their full strength, with the absence of Georgia due to a back injury, this will go down as one of my favorite concerts. Over my years, I've been to so many concerts, but none quite like this. The Last Dinner Party is set to tour in the U.S. until the middle of June, finishing in Atlanta, GA.
