Last night I had one of the most incredible concert experiences ever! Tomorrow x Together (TXT) is one of my longtime favorite K-pop groups. I’ve been listening to their music since 2020, just after their debut, and have only been to one of their shows before (Act: Promise). Two of the stops on their current tour, Act: Tomorrow, were at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. I love the venue because it’s so
intimate and much smaller than United Center, making every seat a great seat.

This summer I experienced a crash out like no other and impulsively splurged on these concert tickets. The closest seats I’ve had at any show is the middle/back of the lower bowl (which is still a great seat), but for last night’s show I was in row DD of section 111. The view was so amazing I couldn’t even believe they were real.
One of the most important parts of any great concert is the setlist, and TXT really outdid themselves this year with a perfect blend of old and new music. They included a bunch of throwbacks, like an acoustic version of Crown (their debut song) and Maze in the Mirror (if you told me in 2021 that I would hear this live, I would not have believed you). The group also showcased their most recent work, performing songs from their newest album The Star Chapter: Together.
Their mics were on. I was so impressed with their vocal range and the variety of genres in their discography. From fun pop songs like Love Language and Beautiful Strangers to rock inspired performances like Growing Pain and Frost, Tomorrow x Together really showed off their broad musical and stylistic range. I was blown away by their intense choreography, and how the group was able to maintain stable vocals and tons of energy while staying perfectly in sync.

Another thing I loved was how each member performed their solo songs. I think that the group is so powerful as a whole, but it’s also really cool to see their individual talent shine. I think their solo songs on The Star Chapter: Together really highlight their different personal styles and capabilities. Yeonjun’s stage presence is especially amplified during his performance of Ghost Girl, where his poetic and addictive song really comes to life before your eyes. The choreography for Huening Kai’s Dance with You, was so cool to watch and really showed off his vocal range. Sunday Driver was one of my favorites, since Soobin brought so much fun energy and joy to the stage. And Taehyun’s emotional ballad Bird of Night had everyone in the arena holding their breath.
Beomgyu, however, did not perform his track from the album, and instead graced Rosemont Day 2 with his first ever American performance of Panic (one of my all-time favorite songs… needless to say I freaked out). The song is so meaningful, encouraging you to power through dark times and look forward to a brighter future. The indie-grunge vibes brought something new to the stage and really stood out to me.
The group also performs a few encore songs, which are surprise songs that aren’t on the setlist. Rosemont Day 2 got the best mix of encore songs, and the crowd’s energy was through the roof. I was so excited to see Yeonjun’s new single Ggum and Thursday’s Child live for the first time!

Overall, this was an extremely amazing concert, and I would definitely recommend Tomorrow x Together’s music to all of my K-pop fans out there. Their range of genres really makes their music for everyone, and their stage presence makes their concerts unforgettable!
