burnout? : On The Grid

hey guys! this is gonna be a different type of blog today, more of a journal entry. I think I'm nearing my annual burnout era, arch midterms piling up, work responsibilities getting bigger, days getting shorter, and it's just making me feel tired all the time. Something I'm proud of, though, is that I recognize these signs of myself before they get worse, and I can do some self-care steps in order to help myself destress, relax, and stay grounded. I don't know if other people get overwhelmed with tasks where you don't even know where to start on them. Personally, I take a break to just ground myself and try to write on paper what tasks I have to do in order of importance and what will take the longest. Then I can follow that list and get my tasks done! Another thing I notice is that when fall starts, I just feel tired all the time, and even though it's difficult to get up and go out and do what you have to do, I recommend having a really strong support/friend group. Recently, my friend Alexis called me up early in the morning and didn't let me stay in bed all day on my day off;

he helped me go get brunch together and get distracted by just window shopping. I don't know, there's a lot of stuff coming up, but I know we can get through this! :) Here's a cute pic i took at the River Walk
