As I'm sure all of you have heard, there is a new TV show that centers around two queer men. I've seen it, you've seen it, we've all seen it. And by the off chance you haven't seen it, you probably should. Unless you like, hate gay people.

Based off the Rachel Reid novel, Heated Rivalry follows the relationship between two all-star hockey players, from the time before their rookie season to years into their careers. What starts out as an undeniable sexual attraction turns into a passionate and nuanced romance. One thing's for certain; this story's impact has taken the world by storm.
What will this show teach you about hockey? Absolutely nothing! Just how I like it. What will it teach you about being queer? Absolutely everything you need to know! While there is a lot of steamy scenes, Heated Rivalry showcases that men are more than just their bodies. In times like these, where men are commonly reduced to sexual beings, it’s important to remember the value of a man's thoughts, emotions, and experiences. May we never forget!
Thankfully, all of the issues the queer community has ever faced have been resolved, because apparently, everyone likes to see two men kissing... especially straight women. Make that make sense. And what better way to spread queer representation than with two men who do not talk about their own sexuality in real life! Who knew that all we needed to combat homophobia was an enemies-to-lovers story arc, mutual yearning, and a depiction of men processing and expressing their feelings.
