Hulu Set to Increase Price in Midst of Free Speech Scandal

In response to the Walt Disney Company’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live, many people have cancelled their Hulu and Disney+ subscriptions, saying the company unreasonably violated Kimmel’s Freedom of Speech. In turn, Hulu has decided to reward loyal members with a $2.00 increase to their monthly subscriptions, as of October 21st. Talk about staying under the radar after being publicly shamed!

Doesn’t their PR department know how this works? They’re supposed to grovel, not financially punish us. I mean, at least they’re tenacious- I’ll give them that. They are not backing down, nor admitting to their wrongs. In the face of the consequences of their own actions, Hulu chooses to pass the emotional damage to the consumer’s pocketbook.
